The Lord woke me up this morning at about 6:30 and allowed me to reflect on the week behind me. Today is the first day of a new week, the Lord made this day and He told me to rejoice in it!  I struggle every day as I try to stay true to the Lord and adhere to His calling and yet function in this world. I don’t know about you, but for me, this is no simple task.

The burden I feel in my heart for our nation is like no heartache I have ever known before. This nation which God has given us is like no other, ever in history, because it was founded by men seeking freedom from religious persecution and a desire to worship God with their lives. The simplicity of this pursuit was and is worthy of our reflection and our appreciation. The mission was never easy and the hills and valleys traversed have made our history, tumultuous and rich!

The wars that were fought and the blood that was shed in the process of seeking to follow the Lord are full of stories of triumph and despair, but it is our history and it is our God who has allowed us to prevail. I am grieved when I hear people who have reaped the benefits of this blood bought freedom denounce our nation. Yet, I understand the root of their sentiments and hope to be able to work hand in hand and shoulder to shoulder with my brothers and sisters in Christ to shatter the myths about our alleged evil deeds and identify the true source of this deception.

The truth which God wants us to embrace and share across America today is one of His Sovereignty. God Reigns in America, as well as over all the earth, and all across the universe. He created all that is created and brought it into existence by faith and His spoken word!  He is still in control, always has been, always will be, but we the people have forgotten our first love and as a result, the forces of evil have gained a stronghold which must be broken. That is the job at hand and the objective of The Sisters of The Second American Revolution.

We will intercede on behalf of America and we will pray in the spirit. We are prayer warriors reclaiming America for the Glory of God! This is the battle to save the heart and soul of America and we cannot do this in the flesh. The extent of the infiltration by the enemy is prolific and the damage done is systemic. Like a cancerous tumor, grown out of control and entered into the lymphatic system, we must now turn to our Father in heaven and intercede on behalf of our nation for a miraculous healing. Now is the time, and if our people do not heed the word of the Lord, then His judgment will come quickly; as a thief in the night and they will be without an alibi. The remnant is being called out and the task at hand is obvious to His believers.

This is war. It is the battle of old. Nothing new under the sun, but it has a new face and the enemy has chosen new names to hide behind and we must uncover the ploys of Satan and put on the Armor of God so we will be prepared when fighting the powers that be! The book of Ephesians gives us the blueprint for a successful campaign to engage the enemy. We must first know who we are in Christ, what we have been called to do, and be prepared and disciplined if we are to see victory when we go into battle. Equally important is the discernment that comes from the Holy Spirit which gives us the ability to determine what is earthly, and what is spiritual so we are not deceived ourselves.

For example, I was challenged recently as to whether or not we can be born again or saved, or if this is an imagined state of being or a poor choice of words on the part of many so called born again believers or even a sign of hypocrisy. I bring this up now   because the Lord has confirmed to me in His word that it is an absolute prerequisite for any soldier who wants to serve in God’s army! Regeneration is a requirement for the troops. Boot camp is what we go through in the world after we accept Jesus and give Him Lordship over our lives. This cannot be accomplished without repentance and I challenge any one to show me where in the word that this is not what Jesus said to us time and time again. The Gospel is the testimony of our Lord Jesus Christ’s experience here on this earth. It is the Truth of the Gospel that empowers each individual with the ability to believe in the unbelievable, see what God sees, walk by faith, and overcome adversity unto salvation.

The fact that God in His divine wisdom, saw fit to come down off of His throne and walk among us in humility is not humanly possible to understand. It defies logic, common sense, and human nature. How can we then expect to fight spiritual enemies in the flesh? That is impossible and anyone who believes otherwise has been deceived and will fail on the day of battle. The initial war began in heaven, the enemy was defeated and banished from the Kingdom. However, he was sent to the earth and this is where God has placed us as well. The fall of man is well documented and there is no need to argue the facts! Now we, with the power of God have to choose to resist the lies of the enemy and allow Jesus to reign in our hearts and give us the necessary tools to stand and fight him while we are here on this earth. It is that simple. That is what God accomplished on the cross. Nothing we do will matter, we have no claim to righteousness, and our works are dead without the blood of our Savior. That is how God keeps us humble.

So, is there anything that compares to the cross of Jesus in the human experience? Has anyone of us come down off the throne of the most high, holy and pure, and taken the sin of the world upon us? The obvious answer is no, and every time we are challenged to forgive someone who has wronged us we have an opportunity to imagine what it was like for Jesus when he chose to go to the cross for men who despised and cursed Him while He interceded on our behalf. Thank God for the Love of Jesus, because a mere man would have failed, as we do each day and we would have been lost forever in an eternal state of depravity, unquenchable thirst, and the pain of knowing what we lost and the realization that we could never have “it” again. The “it” is communion with God and the opposite, separation from God leaves man absolutely hopeless and at the mercy of the demons and Satan himself. No man would want to go there if he knew what really awaits him and only Jesus can provide the way out! Thank you Jesus.

Let us remember that it is by His stripes that we are healed and in our brokenness, that He reigns! If anyone wants to be in the Lord’s army, he must come in submission to the Lord, and with a regenerated life filled with the love and mercy and grace of our Lord Jesus Christ! He is the way, the truth, and the life!  As we sign up for this tour of duty, we must remember who we represent. Our God; Semper Fidelis, always faithful! We have His promise of eternal life and that is what we must share with others-that is a worthy message to bring to our nation as we confront the true enemy of old. Remember too, we already have our victory in Jesus; we must now retake the territory surrendered by default. God help us to take America back as we turn back to you. Let us become invisible to the world and let the world see you in us. As you are lifted up, as we use the little white cross to show the world we love you again, we must first lay down our life. Guide us, give us your wisdom, knowledge, and provision for the battle ahead! Now  let us reclaim the principles and values upon which our nation was founded. The forecast for the day of battle is God Reigns and the Son Shines! Call God and ask Him where the closest recruiting office is…He will show you, as He showed me. Hallelujah-He lives!

Go to this web page and join Elaine and many other women as we stand hand in hand and shoulder to shoulder reclaiming America. We will share this vision one little White Cross at a Time! White Cross Outreach Campaign  outreach of the Living Cornerstone Church

Christians, when they have lived up to the highest ideals of their faith, have defended the weak and vulnerable and worked tirelessly to protect and strengthen vital institutions of civil society, beginning with the family. It was in this tradition that a group of prominent Christian clergy, ministry leaders, and scholars released the Manhattan Declaration on November 20, 2009 at a press conference in Washington, DC. The 4,700-word declaration speaks in defense of the sanctity of life, traditional marriage, and religious liberty. It issues a clarion call to Christians to adhere firmly to their convictions in these three areas.

Are You Awake Yet?

Romans 13:11-14

And do this, understanding the present time. The hour has come for you to wake up from your slumber, because our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed. The night is nearly over; the day is almost here. So let us put aside the deeds of darkness and put on the armor of light. Let us behave decently, as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and debauchery, not in dissension and jealousy, but rather, clothe yourselves with the Lord Jesus Christ, and do not think about how to gratify the desires of the sinful nature.

The  past few weeks current events have moved me once again to sound the alarm! The escalation of rampant civil unrest all over, in America, and in particularly in the Middle East is a very real threat to Israel and the entire free world. What many hoped would be used for good has unfortunately been used for evil. There is a hidden force operating in the world today which touts “democracy” and uses it as a mask to hide its’ true intentions! The well orchestrated crises’ are being used to spur protests across our nation now, in the name of democracy as well, and many seem to think that this is how a free society operates.  America, however, is an established Constitutional Republic and that is significantly different from a democracy. Assuming democracy and its’ promotion of  political correctness, multiculturalism, and religious tolerance were good things  has led to the destruction of America’s Socio-economic stability as well as the moral fiber of our society- in short it has caused a severe Cultural crises. This is a very organized  Agenda, a calculated plan to drive the entire world into a “People’s Republic” or a democratic “Global government”  in which we all become World Citizens  and assuming this is “not true” or that it could never happen, will be the greatest mistake America and all free men around the world ever make!

First of all, we must look at the word democracy in light of the literal vs. implied meaning. It is imperative that we try to understand what the danger of this misinformation is, and how it relates to “Liberty” in contrast to the threat of mob rule on society which ultimately results in anarchy!

There are conflicting opinions about what defines democracy, so I will, for the sake of clarification, tell you what I have found to be prevalent today.  The Islamic definition, for one, is very interesting. Especially since the Muslim world appears to be, according to the liberal media, embracing democracy and many people across America believe this as a good thing. First of all, the leaders of Islam consider democracy a religion and as such, any believer in democracy would in fact be defined as Infidels once a Muslim nation established its’ control or governance and instituted Sha’ria  Law. In the Muslim book, Democracy : A Religion! , Written by:Abu Muhammad ‘Aasim al-Maqdisi Translated into English by:Abu Muhammad al-Maleki we clearly have a unique definition which should be a major warning to any freedom loving individual. It states clearly: We must destroy those who follow democracy, and we must take their followers as enemies – hate them and wage a great Jihad against them.” As we are considered by Islam to be a democracy-how then are the so-called cries for freedom across the Middle East, in predominantly Muslim countries, not going to be forced to reject democratic rule? If they believe democracy is a religion, and they state this belief very specifically, we ultimately are going to be the enemy of those we claim to help set free as we supposedly stand for democracy.  History also seems to support this model. In reality “democracy” today does seek to impose the will of the Elitist controlled government on the people. That is what happens in all Socialist Democratic countries and the origin of this ideology can be found in the 10 planks of the Communist Manifesto. The powers that be, seeking to redefine our Republic, however, are the same powers at work destabilizing all the other governments across the world in addition to ours! They do this through the tools like the state run media, social networking, and propaganda. In Democracy:A Religion, they state that democracy is a religion, but not Allah’s religion. I too agree that democracy is being used like religion to transform the world, but this is not to say I agree with the tenet’s  of Islam either.

America’s founders also defined democracy and compared it to our Republican form of government. In fact, democracy was considered a deficient form of government and that is what led to the Declaration of Independence and the establishment of the US Constitution. They believed that the Rule of Law was the defining ideology and principle that would preserve the inalienable rights of each individual based on natural law-or God’s law. So, the right of each man is there by protected.  Even if the popular majority should choose otherwise, the Law of the Land would protect as well as derive its power from the individual and his choice to live according to the conscience given him by the almighty. Essentially, it acknowledges Free will not Governments’ will and the fact that man ultimately answers to God, and not man in the end! This was an experimental form of government which had never been tried before. Unlike the many previously failed democracies, this new Constitutional Republic would protect individual freedom and God-given rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of personal property & happiness.

In modern republics the executive is legitimized both by a constitution , the inviolable Law of the Land and by popular suffrage or the  right of all men to vote. In the United States, James Madison compared the republic to democracy,[and found democracy wanting. Montesquieu included both democracies, where all the people have a share in rule, and aristocracies or oligarchies, where only some of the people rule, as republican forms of government. In modern political science, republicanism refers to a specific ideology that is based on civic virtue and is considered distinct from ideologies such as liberalism which have been adopted and promoted by the progressives now dictating public opinion through education, environmental and economic principles, and social justice. This has been a concerted effort which has employed many strategies and tactics. The intended objective is power and control over all-TYRANNY!

Most often a republic is a sovereign country, but there are also sub-national entities that are referred to as republics, or which have governments that are described as “republican” in nature. For instance, Article IV of the Constitution of the United States “guarantees to every State in this Union a Republican form of Government.” The Soviet Union was a single state composed of distinct and nominally sovereign Soviet Socialist Republics.

The progressive ideology that the law should be used to dictate universal morality through social justice is a perversion of the foundational principles of our republican form of government and must be corrected if we are to survive this attack on our nation. The enemy is already within every institution  in America and the despotic bureaucrats have conspired to abuse the law  against the principles of individual freedom. The abuse of power and the excessive intrusiveness of the law into areas of our lives preserved for God alone are leading to the gross establishment of a Fascist regime. The excessive expansion of government will be necessary to enforce this new  Global way of life. It will be carried out by a populace that has been indoctrinated and programmed to reject the American ideals of self-governance, personal responsibility, individual freedom, economic freedom, religious freedom, freedom of speech, private  property rights, etc.

Our most successful, experimental form of government is being fundamentally transformed by those who do not respect the law or the people our laws were established by and for! There were earlier republics which, lawlessly, operated much the same way and they all failed. They were controlled by councils of elite patricians and the elections  they conducted were manipulated and established to ensure intended results much like the Czars of the current regime, no direct elections were held and council members were appointed by the existing council , or in our case, a tyrannical president heading the executive branch of our government and the democratic rulers or legislative branch of government in  America, our Congress,  who are using being controlled by community organizers, trained by ACORN, non-governmental organizations,  unions like the SEIU, NEA, and bureaucratic agencies like the EPA which  force unrealistic mandates of the progressive, globalists and the UN’s Agenda on the American people. They accomplish this through burdensome regulations, excessive  and illegal global taxation, and abusive legal force. We have seen this clearly demonstrated by  Eric Holder and the Department of Justice against the State of Arizona who is  trying to protect their borders, as well as every State  in the Union and their people’s right to choose how they pay for their health care.We are being treated with contempt and  then being forced to pay for it too. This is an outrage!

I don’t know about you, but I do not believe this is what our founders intended to establish when they began the First American Revolution. What do you say? Does the current regime which has taken over our Federal government represent your idea of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness?  I hope not and I pray every day that more Americans wake up and realize that their American Dream will be a nightmare to the current regime and the powers that be, when We the People, once again, embrace the simplicity of what it means to be free and throw off the chains of tyranny being imposed on us by the lies and deceptions of our despotic Federal Government and the hidden perpetrators as well. They can be removed from power and  I hope that we restore the law and try these criminals for their crimes of  fraud, sedition and treason for which many are guilty of.

Back in the day of corrupt democracies and despotic oligarchies, there were riots and revolts by the disenfranchised people who were slaves to the unfairness of  Monarchies and governments run by lawless men who abused their ill-gotten positions  and acted out of greed and unrestrained lust for power. If we do not turn back to God, we will not survive. This is the reality we must acknowledge. Unlike Al Gore and his lies about global warming, the United Nations and their lies about Sustainable Development and world peace, the Universal church and the many ways to get to heaven, we must accept the inconvenient truth; We are the problem and we have the solution, we must resist tyranny.

Our founders discovered the cure and gave it to us in the timeless document: Unites States Constitution.  It is time for Truth Serum:  Our Constitution  is the Law of the Land and that coupled with our faith in God Almighty alone, has the power to deliver us and set us Free! What we are witnessing today across America can be used for good because we have a good God who operates out of love for all men. If we petition our Lord, call upon His name and trust Him once again; then God will heal our land, help us restore the law and reestablish our Republican form of government. We must choose this day Liberty or Tyranny! God help us all to make the right choice and trust in your faithfulness again!.

This video should go viral. There is a traitor in the highest office of the land and he was put there by our government. They ignored the rule of law, did not vet him, and they know it!!!! If we call them out- we foil their plan to destroy Individual Freedom and our Constitution…what will you do?

I have been living with the knowledge and revelation concerning the end times prophecy since 1975. The first time I really read the Bible, I read a copy of The Way, and I began in the book of Revelation. I do not know why, but this is what God impressed upon me. I knew that this was a warning to our generation and I that I was going to see these things. I really didn’t know what that meant or how it would manifest itself in the future, but those thoughts have never left me and recently, I have sought to hear from God concerning this impression and through prayer, fasting, and studying the word, this is what God has shown me. He has allowed me to see things, as He does many people who seek to know Him. However, there will be many who do not see, nor will they care about the Truth.  Yet, it is profitable for doctrine – To teach us the will of God, and to lead us to Jesus Christ till he should come. For reproof – To convince men of the truth; and to confound those who should deny it, particularly the Jews.

“ For restoring things to their proper uses and places, correcting false notions and mistaken views.”, as we must now do in America!

His word is for our reproof, training, and correction. It is an instruction manual from God, to us, to teach us how to live and love! It is God’s love story and it is for our edification and inspiration!

However, why should anyone take my word for this. Let’s see what God has to say about this.

2 Timothy 3:16 American King James Version
All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

Barnes’ Notes on the Bible

All Scripture – This properly refers to the Old Testament, and should not be applied to any part of the New Testament, unless it can be shown that that part was then written, and was included under the general name of “the Scriptures;” compare 2 Peter 3:15-16. But it includes the whole of the Old Testament, and is the solemn testimony of Paul that it was all inspired. If now it can be proved that Paul himself was an inspired man, this settles the question as to the inspiration of the Old Testament.

Is given by inspiration of God – All this is expressed in the original by one word – Θεόπνευστος Theopneustos. This word occurs nowhere else in the New Testament. It properly means, God-inspired – from Θεός Theos, “God,” and πνέω pneō, “to breathe, to breathe out.” The idea of “breathing upon, or breathing into the soul,” is that which the word naturally conveys. Thus, God breathed into the nostrils of Adam the breath of life Genesis 2:7, and thus the Saviour breathed on his disciples, and said, “receive ye the Holy Ghost;” John 20:22. The idea seems to have been, that the life was in the breath, and that an intelligent spirit was communicated with the breath. The expression was used among the Greeks, and a similar one was employed by the Romans. Plutarch ed. R. 9:p. 583. 9. τοὺς ὀνείρους τοὺς θεοπνεύστους tous oneirous tous theopneustous. Phocylid. 121. τῆς δὲ θεοπνεύστου σοφίης λόγος ἐστὶν ἄριστος tēs de theopnoustou sophiēs logos estin aristos.

Perhaps, however, this is not an expression of Phocylides, but of the pseudo Phocylides. So it is understood by Bloomfield. Cicero, pro Arch. 8. “poetam – quasi divino quodam spiritu inflari.” The word does not occur in the Septuagint, but is found in Josephus, Contra Apion, i. 7. “The Scripture of the prophets who were taught according to the inspiration of God – κατὰ τὴν ἐπίπνοιαν τὴν ἀπὸ τοῦ Θεοῦ kata tēn epipnoian tēn apo tou Theou. In regard to the manner of inspiration, and to the various questions which have been started as to its nature, nothing can be learned from the use of this word. It asserts a fact – that the Old Testament was composed under a divine influence, which might be represented by “breathing on one,” and so imparting life. But the language must be figurative; for God does not breathe, though the fair inference is, that those Scriptures are as much the production of God, or are as much to be traced to him, as life is; compare Matthew 22:43; 2 Peter 1:21. The question as to the degree of inspiration, and whether it extends to the words of Scripture, and how far the sacred writers were left to the exercise of their own faculties, is foreign to the design of these notes. All that is necessary to be held is, that the sacred writers were kept from error on those subjects which were matters of their own observation, or which pertained to memory; and that there were truths imparted to them directly by the Spirit of God, which they could never have arrived at by the unaided exercise of their own minds. Compare the introduction to Isaiah and Job.

And is profitable. – It is useful; it is adapted to give instruction, to administer reproof, etc. If “all” Scripture is thus valuable, then we are to esteem no part of the Old Testament as worthless. There is no portion of it, even now, which may not be fitted, in certain circumstances, to furnish us valuable lessons, and, consequently, no part of it which could be spared from the sacred canon. There is no part of the human body which is not useful in its place, and no part of it which can be spared without sensible loss.

For doctrine – For teaching or communicating instruction; compare the notes on 1 Timothy 4:16.

For reproof – On the meaning of the word here rendered “reproof” – ἐλέγγμος elengmos – see the notes on Hebrews 11:1. It here means, probably, for “convincing;” that is, convincing a man of his sins, of the truth and claims of religion, etc.; see the notes on John 16:8.

For correction – The word here used – ἐπανόρθωσις epanorthōsis – occurs nowhere else in the New Testament. It means, properly, “a setting to rights, reparation, restoration,” (from ἐπανορθόω epanorthoō, to right up again, to restore); and here means, the leading to a correction or amendment of life – “a reformation.” The meaning is, that the Scriptures are a powerful means of reformation, or of putting men into the proper condition in regard to morals. After all the means which have been employed to reform mankind; all the appeals which are made to them on the score of health, happiness, respectability, property, and long life, the word of God is still the most powerful and the most effectual means of recovering those who have fallen into vice. No reformation can be permanent which is not based on the principles of the word of God.

For instruction in righteousness – Instruction in regard to the principles of justice, or what is right. Man needs not only to be made acquainted with truth, to be convinced of his error, and to be reformed; but he needs to be taught what is right, or what is required of him, in order that he may lead a holy life. Every reformed and regenerated man needs instruction, and should not be left merely with the evidence that he is “reformed, or converted.” He should be followed with the principles of the word of God, to show him how he may lead an upright life. The Scriptures furnish the rules of holy living in abundance, and thus they are adapted to the whole work of recovering man, and of guiding him to heaven.

Clarke’s Commentary on the Bible

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God – This sentence is not well translated; the original πασα γραφη θεοκνευστος ωφιλιμος προς διδασκαλιαν, κ. τ. λ. should be rendered: Every writing Divinely inspired is profitable for doctrine, etc. The particle και, and, is omitted by almost all the versions and many of the fathers, and certainly does not agree well with the text. The apostle is here, beyond all controversy, speaking of the writings of the Old Testament, which, because they came by Divine inspiration, he terms the Holy Scriptures, 2 Timothy 3:15; and it is of them alone that this passage is to be understood; and although all the New Testament came by as direct an inspiration as the Old, yet, as it was not collected at that time, not indeed complete, the apostle could have no reference to it.

The doctrine of the inspiration of the sacred writings has been a subject of much discussion, and even controversy, among Christians. There are two principal opinions on the subject:

1. That every thought and word were inspired by God, and that the writer did nothing but merely write as the Spirit dictated.

2. That God gave the whole matter, leaving the inspired writers to their own language; and hence the great variety of style and different modes of expression.

But as I have treated this subject at large in my Introduction to the Four Gospels and Acts of the Apostles, I must refer the reader to that work.

Is profitable for doctrine – To teach the will of God, and to point out Jesus Christ till he should come.

For reproof – To convince men of the truth; and to confound those who should deny it, particularly the Jews.

For correction – Προς επανορθωσιν· For restoring things to their proper uses and places, correcting false notions and mistaken views.

Instruction in righteousness – Προς παιδειαν την εν δικαιοσυνῃ. For communicating all initiatory religious knowledge; for schooling mankind. All this is perfectly true of the Jewish Scriptures; and let faith in Christ Jesus be added, see 2 Timothy 3:15, and then all that is spoken in the following verse will be literally accomplished.

Gill’s Exposition of the Entire Bible

All Scripture is given by inspiration of God,…. That is, all holy Scripture; for of that only the apostle is speaking; and he means the whole of it; not only the books of the Old Testament, but of the New, the greatest part of which was now written; for this second epistle to Timothy is by some thought to be the last of Paul’s epistles; and this also will hold good of what was to be written; for all is inspired by God, or breathed by him: the Scriptures are the breath of God, the word of God and not men; they are “written by the Spirit”, as the Syriac version renders it; or “by the Spirit of God”, as the Ethiopic version. The Scriptures are here commended, from the divine authority of them; and which is attested and confirmed by various arguments; as the majesty and loftiness of their style, which in many places is inimitable by men; the sublimity of the matter contained in them, which transcends all human understanding and capacity ever to have attained unto and discovered; as the trinity of persons in the Godhead, the incarnation of Christ, the resurrection of the dead, &c. The purity and holiness of them before observed, show them to be the word of him that is of purer eyes than to behold iniquity; as also their harmony and agreement, though wrote by different persons, in different places, and ages, and at sundry times, and in divers manners; what seeming inconsistencies are observed in them may, with labour and industry, by divine assistance, be reconciled. The predictions of future events in them, as particularly concerning Josiah and Cyrus, by name, long before they were born, and especially concerning Jesus Christ, and which have had their accomplishment, and many others in the New Testament both by Christ and his apostles, are a proof that they could not be the writings of men, but must have the omniscient God for their author; the impartiality of the writers of them, in not concealing the mean extract of some of them, the sins of others before conversion, and even their sins and failings afterwards, as well as those of their nearest relations and dearest friends, strengthens the proof of their divine authority; to which may be added, the wonderful preservation of them, through all the changes and declensions of the Jewish church and state, to whom the books of the Old Testament were committed; and notwithstanding the violence and malice of Heathen persecutors, particularly Dioclesian, who sought to destroy every copy of the Scriptures, and published an edict for that purpose, and notwithstanding the numbers of heretics, and who have been in power, as also the apostasy of the church of Rome; and yet these writings have been preserved, and kept pure and incorrupt, which is not the case of other writings; nor are there any of such antiquity as the oldest of these: to which may be subjoined the testimony of God himself; his outward testimony by miracles, wrought by Moses and the prophets, concerned in the writings of the Old Testament, and by the apostles in the New; and his internal testimony, which is the efficacy of these Scriptures on the hearts of men; the reading and hearing of which, having been owned for the conversion, comfort and edification of thousands and thousands, and ten thousand times ten thousand: and

is profitable for doctrine; for the discovering, illustrating, and confirming any doctrine concerning God, the being, persons, and perfections of God; concerning the creation and fall of man; concerning the person and offices of Christ, redemption by him, justification by his righteousness, pardon by his blood, reconciliation and atonement by his sacrifice, and eternal life through him, with many others. The Scripture is profitable for ministers to fetch doctrine from, and establish it by; and for hearers to try and prove it by:

for reproof; of errors and heresies; this is the sword of the Spirit, which cuts all down. There never was, nor is, nor can be any error or heresy broached in the world, but there is a sufficient refutation of it in the Scriptures; which may be profitably used for that purpose, as it often has been by Christ and his apostles, and others since in all ages:

for correction; of vice; there being no sin, but the evil nature of it is shown, its wicked tendency is exposed, and the sad effects and consequences of it are pointed out in these writings: for instruction in righteousness; in every branch of duty incumbent upon men; whether with respect to God, or one another; for there is no duty men are obliged unto, but the nature, use, and excellency of it, are here shown: the Scriptures are a perfect rule of faith and practice; and thus they are commended from the usefulness and profitableness of them.

Vincent’s Word Studies

All Scripture (πᾶσα γραφὴ)

Better, every Scripture, that is, every passage of Scripture. Scripture as a whole is as αἱ γραφαί or αἱ γραφαί ἅγιαι. Ἱερά is never used with γραφὴ. Γραφὴ is the single passage, usually defined by this, or that, or the, or which saith.

Is given by inspiration of God (θεόπνευστος)

N.T.o. olxx. From θεὸς God and πνεῖν to breathe. God-breathed. The word tells us nothing of the peculiar character or limits of inspiration beyond the fact that it proceeds from God. In construction omit is, and rend. as attributive of γραφὴ every divinely-inspired Scripture.

And is profitable (καὶ ὠφέλιμος)

According to A.V., καὶ and is merely the copula between two predicates of γραφὴ. It is divinely inspired and is profitable. According to the interpretation given above, καὶ has the force of also. Every divinely-inspired Scripture is, besides being so inspired and for that reason, also profitable, etc. Ὡφέλιμος profitable, Pasto. See on 1 Timothy 4:8.

For doctrine (πρὸς διδασκαλίαν)

Better, teaching. Comp. to make thee wise, 2 Timothy 3:15.

Reproof (ἐλεγμόν)

Better, conviction. N.T.o. oClass. Comparatively frequent in lxx, mostly in the sense of rebuke: sometimes curse, punishment. See Ps. of Solomon 10:1, but the reading is disputed with ἐλέγχῳ. See on the verb ἐλέγχειν, John 3:20.

Correction (ἐπανόρθωσιν)

N.T.o. Twice in lxx. Restoring to an upright state (ὀρθός erect); setting right.

Instruction (παιδείαν)

Better, chastisement or discipline. See on Ephesians 6:4. In lxx mostly correction or discipline, sometimes admonition. Specially of God’s chastisement by means of sorrow and evil.

Geneva Study Bible

{5} All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness:

(5) The eighth admonition which is most precious: a pastor must be wise by the word of God alone: in which we have perfectly delivered to us, whatever pertains to discerning, knowing and establishing true opinions, and to prove which opinions are false: and furthermore, to correct evil manners, and to establish good.

People’s New Testament

3:16 All scripture is given by inspiration of God. The Revised Version is much better: Every Scripture inspired of God is also profitable, etc. Whether it is depends on its inspiration. For instance, the Apocrypha is called Scripture, but is not inspired.

For doctrine. For teaching.

Wesley’s Notes

3:16 All scripture is inspired of God – The Spirit of God not only once inspired those who wrote it, but continually inspires, supernaturally assists, those that read it with earnest prayer. Hence it is so profitable for doctrine, for instruction of the ignorant, for the reproof or conviction of them that are in error or sin, for the correction or amendment of whatever is amiss, and for instructing or training up the children of God in all righteousness.

Jamieson-Fausset-Brown Bible Commentary

16. All scripture-Greek, “Every Scripture,” that is, Scripture in it’s every part. However, English Version is sustained, though the Greek article be wanting, by the technical use of the term “Scripture” being so well known as not to need the article (compare Greek, Eph 3:15; 2:21). The Greek is never used of writings in general, but only of the sacred Scriptures. The position of the two Greek adjectives closely united by “and,” forbids our taking the one as an epithet, the other as predicated and translated as Alford and Ellicott. “Every Scripture given by inspiration of God is also profitable.” Vulgate and the best manuscripts, favor English Version. Clearly the adjectives are so closely connected that as surely as one is a predicate, the other must be so too. Alford admits his translation to be harsh, though legitimate. It is better with English Version to take it in a construction legitimate, and at the same time not harsh. The Greek, “God-inspired,” is found nowhere else. Most of the New Testament books were written when Paul wrote this his latest Epistle: so he includes in the clause “All Scripture is God-inspired,” not only the Old Testament, in which alone Timothy was taught when a child (2Ti 3:15), but the New Testament books according as they were recognized in the churches which had men gifted with “discerning of spirits,” and so able to distinguish really inspired utterances, persons, and so their writings from spurious. Paul means, “All Scripture is God-inspired and therefore useful”; because we see no utility in any words or portion of it, it does not follow it is not God-inspired. It is useful, because God-inspired; not God-inspired, because useful. One reason for the article not being before the Greek, “Scripture,” may be that, if it had, it might be supposed that it limited the sense to the hiera grammata, “Holy Scriptures” (2Ti 3:15) of the Old Testament, whereas here the assertion is more general: “all Scripture” (compare Greek, 2Pe 1:20). The translation, “all Scripture that is God-inspired is also useful,” would imply that there is some Scripture which is not God-inspired. But this would exclude the appropriated sense of the word “Scripture”; and who would need to be told that “all divine Scripture is useful (‘profitable’)?” Heb 4:13 would, in Alford’s view, have to be rendered, “All naked things are also open to the eyes of Him,” &c.: so also 1Ti 4:4, which would be absurd [Tregelles, Remarks on the Prophetic Visions of the Book of Daniel]. Knapp well defines inspiration, “An extraordinary divine agency upon teachers while giving instruction, whether oral or written, by which they were taught how and what they should speak or write” (compare 2Sa 23:1; Ac 4:25; 2Pe 1:21). The inspiration gives the divine sanction to all the words of Scripture, though those words be the utterances of the individual writer, and only in special cases revealed directly by God (1Co 2:13). Inspiration is here predicated of the writings, “all Scripture,” not of the persons. The question is not how God has done it; it is as to the word, not the men who wrote it. What we must believe is that He has done it, and that all the sacred writings are everywhere inspired, though not all alike matter of special revelation: and that even the very words are stamped with divine sanction, as Jesus used them (for example in the temptation and Joh 10:34, 35), for deciding all questions of doctrine and practice. There are degrees of revelation in Scripture, but not of inspiration. The sacred writers did not even always know the full significancy of their own God-inspired words (1Pe 1:10, 11, 12). Verbal inspiration does not mean mechanical dictation, but all “Scripture is (so) inspired by God,” that everything in it, its narratives, prophecies, citations, the whole-ideas, phrases, and words-are such as He saw fit to be there. The present condition of the text is no ground for concluding against the original text being inspired, but is a reason why we should use all critical diligence to restore the original inspired text. Again, inspiration may be accompanied by revelation or not, but it is as much needed for writing known doctrines or facts authoritatively, as for communicating new truths [Tregelles]. The omission here of the substantive verb is,’ I think, designed to mark that, not only the Scripture then existing, but what was still to be written till the canon should be completed, is included as God-inspired. The Old Testament law was the schoolmaster to bring us to Christ; so it is appropriately said to be “able to make wise unto salvation through faith in Jesus Christ”: the term wisdom being appropriated to the knowledge of the relations between the Old and New Testaments, and opposed to the pretended wisdom of the false teachers (1Ti 1:7, 8).

doctrine-Greek, “teaching,” that is, teaching the ignorant dogmatic truths which they cannot otherwise know. He so uses the Old Testament, Ro 1:17.

reproof-“refutation,” convicting the erring of their error. Including polemical divinity. As an example of this use of the Old Testament, compare Ga 3:6, 13, 16. “Doctrine and reproof” comprehend the speculative parts of divinity. Next follow the practical: Scripture is profitable for: (1) correction (Greek, “setting one right”; compare an example, 1Co 10:1-10) and instruction (Greek, “disciplining,” as a father does his child, see on [2504]2Ti 2:25; Eph 6:4; Heb 12:5, 11, or “training” by instruction, warning, example, kindnesses, promises, and chastisements; compare an example, 1Co 5:13). Thus the whole science of theology is complete in Scripture. Since Paul is speaking of Scripture in general and in the notion of it, the only general reason why, in order to perfecting the godly (2Ti 3:17), it should extend to every department of revealed truth, must be that it was intended to be the complete and sufficient rule in all things touching perfection. See Article VI, Common Prayer Book.

in-Greek, “instruction which is in righteousness,” as contrasted with the “instruction” in worldly rudiments (Col 2:20, 22).

Matthew Henry’s Concise Commentary

3:14-17 Those who would learn the things of God, and be assured of them, must know the Holy Scriptures, for they are the Divine revelation. The age of children is the age to learn; and those who would get true learning, must get it out of the Scriptures. They must not lie by us neglected, seldom or never looked into. The Bible is a sure guide to eternal life. The prophets and apostles did not speak from themselves, but delivered what they received of God, 2Pe 1:21. It is profitable for all purposes of the Christian life. It is of use to all, for all need to be taught, corrected, and reproved. There is something in the Scriptures suitable for every case. Oh that we may love our Bibles more, and keep closer to them! then shall we find benefit, and at last gain the happiness therein promised by faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, who is the main subject of both Testaments. We best oppose error by promoting a solid knowledge of the word of truth; and the greatest kindness we can do to children, is to make them early to know the Bible.

I am an American citizen. I love God and my country. I am trying to provide a resource to concerned followers of our Lord, Jesus, who want to make a positive difference in their community and share their efforts with others in the hopes of promoting personal responsibility and help restore the  frayed fabric of our society. I am looking for modern-day warriors who know that they too have been called to lead this charge for the Heart and Soul of our Nation as well as for the souls of the lost! It can no longer be assumed that someone else will do this. It is our job! America will not survive the 21st Century without a repentant, reborn & and redirected citizenry. I have been studying the Word, praying and seeking God’s face as I search for answers to the problems facing America and the world. I believe that God  has called me and many people like myself into service. Much like a draft when a nation is at war and the job he gives us requires an extra measure of courage and commitment. The Lord has directed me into the books of the Old testament to reveal is plan for recovery and stimulus! He then reminds me that without Jesus’ perfect example of  love, and grace as our example to follow, we will fail! I find these truths in the New Testament.

So,if we are to be effective in our mission to share God’s message for America, this is what we must do.

Study His word, seek His voice, & listen to Him!

Let’s begin in Nehemiah:written in B.C. 444, and see  how he restored the walls of Jerusalem and the civil authority for his people.

Nehemiah 1:2 …and I asked them concerning the Jews who had escaped, who had survived the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem.

3 And they said to me, “The survivors who are left from the captivity in the province are there in great distress and reproach. The wall of Jerusalem is also broken down, and its gates are burned with fire.”
4 So it was, when I heard these words, that I sat down and wept, and mourned for many days; I was fasting and praying before the God of heaven.

(We have been weeping and mourning for what has been lost, but we must also be fasting & praying as Nehemiah did so we can reclaim the place where He has set His name!)
5 And I said: “I pray, LORD God of heaven, O great and awesome God, You who keep Your covenant and mercy with those who love You[b] and observe Your[c] commandments, 6 please let Your ear be attentive and Your eyes open, that You may hear the prayer of Your servant which I pray before You now, day and night, for the children of Israel Your servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel which we have sinned against You. Both my father’s house and I have sinned. 7 We have acted very corruptly against You, and have not kept the commandments, the statutes, nor the ordinances which You commanded Your servant Moses. 8 Remember, I pray, the word that You commanded Your servant Moses, saying, ‘If you are unfaithful, I will scatter you among the nations;[d] 9 but if you return to Me, and keep My commandments and do them, though some of you were cast out to the farthest part of the heavens, yet I will gather them from there, and bring them to the place which I have chosen as a dwelling for My name.’[e] 10 Now these are Your servants and Your people, whom You have redeemed by Your great power, and by Your strong hand. 11 O Lord, I pray, please let Your ear be attentive to the prayer of Your servant, and to the prayer of Your servants who desire to fear Your name; and let Your servant prosper this day, I pray, and grant him mercy in the sight of this man.”
For I was the king’s cupbearer.

As Nehemiah did, we must intercede for our nation and our people. The Lord will hear our prayers and He will give us wisdom, knowledge, peace, and the resources we need to feed His sheep!

The greatest enemy that we all  face are the forces of evil and our own propensity for sin. On a global scale it manifests itself as Tyranny and is a willful desire by government  to abuse the rights of human beings, to fund and promote their evil plans for world governance, and ultimately to replace God and destroy His creation &  man. The real war is spiritual, but will require the resolve of all believers to stand in the gap and proclaim the truth of the word of God publicly as we reclaim  our lost property! It is ultimately about choosing God over Satan, claiming the gift of Liberty or submitting to Tyranny!

May God help us  in our quest to Bless America once again.

This blog is for all my Sisters and Brothers too!  I am hoping that we can work together to create a site where we develop an enhanced sense of community by sharing our concerns, our burdens, praying for our nation and one another, and  most of all, trusting God to direct us and help us to go into the world and share the Good News and speak boldly what we know to be true for all men.

We have been born for such a time as this. Our Lord has called us out…if you know that God has asked you to take up your cross and follow Him, or that you want to learn how to do that, then you are welcome here!
